In this episode of the Shoosmiths serious injury podcast, Shoosmiths colleagues Sharon Banga and Kashmir Uppal are joined by case manager Tracey Dailly to discuss the benefit of case management in complex negligence cases.

The group discussed the issues surrounding how cases involving complex brain injuries or other clients that have a high level of need can benefit from case management. The process of putting this type of management in place, including funding, is explained in the context of Shoosmiths as a firm with extensive experience and the resources to enable their clients feel well supported and to assist with their rehabilitation. Tracey provides valuable input about the role of case managers and how they can assist our clients.

This episode covers:

  1. What a case manager is.
  2. What type of cases / clients a case manager works with.
  3. The interplay between the legal team and the work of a case manager.
  4. The role of a case manager in therapy and rehabilitation.
  5. The benefit of case management to some of our Shoosmiths clients.
